To determine if your district is a partner of GVA, please go to the Parents page on this website and search for your district under “Find and Contact Your Academic Advisor.” New students need to contact their district to be referred to GVA then we will be in touch with enrollment instructions.

Activities & Clubs
Extracurriculars for your virtual education
Greenbush Virtual Academy (GVA) provides a variety of opportunities for students to participate in activities and clubs outside of their academic courses. Activities are age-appropriate and coordinated by GVA staff. Clubs are open to students in grades 6-12 and meetings are held virtually through Zoom.
The following clubs, organizations, and activities are available for the 2022-23 school year:
Art Club – The art club will give students the chance to learn about different forms of art as well as create their own art. We will talk about our interests in art and creativity. We will explore art from different cultures and time periods. The art club is a great way for students to interact with one another and join in the creative process

Spanish Club – This virtual club open to any student who enjoy learning about customs, traditions, and cultures of Spanish speaking countries. Activities may include arts and crafts, recipe sharing, movies, and virtual field trips while promoting cultural diversity and understanding.

Culinary Arts Club – We are changing the club this year and we’d love your input on goals and projects!
- Meetings – 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 1:00pm

Journalism Club – We’ll talk about publishing, creating graphics, designing spreads, and have fun!

Music Club – We’ll talk about a variety of topics including Favorite Playlists, History, Unique and Funny Music, and more!

Robotics & Coding Club

Graphic Design Club

Student Leaders Club – This club is a collection of students interested in honing their leadership skills. Donald McGannon, a pioneer in the news radio industry said, “Leadership is action, not a position.” With this firm belief, the Student Leaders club will focus on actions to make themselves and GVA better.

Gaming Club – This club meets once per month via Zoom to share a passion for video games. During these Zoom meetings, all types of video games are played across a wide range of platforms. Some games this club includes are Minecraft, Rocket League, Among Us, Fall Guys, and Jackbox Games. Competitive matches are held with a prize for the winner. In between the monthly Zoom meetings, Gaming Club challenges are held.

SELF Club – Are you excited about getting to know your own interests and skills to help prepare for a successful future? Have you ever wondered what you could be doing now to explore opportunities for careers? Are you interested in not just setting goals, but creating a plan to successfully reach your goals? We will discuss these topics and more at S.E.L.F Club. Join us to See your future, Explore your interests, Learn about options, and Find your path. Club members will have input regarding meeting topics.
